Bombay to Nasik

The township of Khopoli as visible from the Bombay Pune Highway

God's Own Country - Kerala

These pictures were taken when I was on a visit to my paternal ancestral town Palakkad, Kerala.

Decorated Temple elephants being taken out on a procession in Peringott Kavu (a temple village in Palakkad, which is my mother's ancestral temple)

The day it poured cats and dogs in Ernakulam. This photo reminds me of the words from Celine Dion's song:
"Let the rain come down and wash away your tears, let it fill your soul and drown your fears, let it shatter the walls for a new sun, A new day has come"

A view of the Western Ghats from my aunt's terrace at Palakkad. The fog atop the mountains was an icing to the cake.

I took this photo when my friends and I visited the Marina beach. Just how many colours are visible in this photo - white, grey, blue, orange, cream. Its beautiful.
